By using PolyMarket, you agree to these terms. They aim to ensure a safe, respectful and useful space for all students.

In short

Access is restricted to valid `@epfl.ch` addresses.
PolyMarket connects people; payments and exchanges are handled directly between users.
Only EPFL-related course books/material are allowed.
You can delete your account and data at any time.

1. Service scope

PolyMarket is a free, student-led platform that helps EPFL students buy, sell or give away course books. It provides listings and messaging only.

PolyMarket does not process payments, shipping or quality guarantees. Exchanges happen in person, on campus.

2. Eligibility and account

Registration is limited to `@epfl.ch` email addresses. One account per person. Authentication is available through magic link or password.

3. Listing rules

Listings must be related to EPFL courses.
Prices must be in CHF and reflect the real condition.
Listings expire after 100 days and can be renewed from profile.
Daily publishing limits apply to prevent abuse.

4. Forbidden content

Illegal copies, pirated material, or unauthorized digital files
Unrelated products/services
Misleading information about a book
Harassing, hateful, discriminatory, or illegal content

5. Moderation and sanctions

Reports are reviewed by the moderation team. PolyMarket may hide/delete listings or suspend accounts in case of repeated or severe violations.

6. Liability limits

The service is provided “as is”. PolyMarket is not a party to user transactions and cannot be held responsible for disputes, no-shows, or item condition disagreements.

7. Account deletion and data

You can delete your account from your profile settings. Deletion removes your profile, listings, photos, messages, favorites and alerts. See also the privacy policy.

8. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Jurisdiction is Lausanne, canton of Vaud.
